I believe all students are capable of learning science when they feel supported, challenged, and respected. My role as a teacher is to create a classroom environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and thinking critically about the natural world.

I believe biology should be taught as an active process rather than memorization. Students learn best when they engage with real examples, investigations, and discussions that connect biological concepts to their lives. I use hands-on activities, visual models, group work, and guided inquiry to help students build understanding and apply knowledge rather than recall facts.

Equity and inclusion are central to my teaching philosophy. Every student enters the classroom with different backgrounds, strengths, and needs. I aim to meet students where they are by using varied instructional strategies, clear expectations, and consistent support. I value student voice and encourage collaboration so all learners feel seen and heard.

Ultimately, my goal is to help students develop confidence in their ability to learn science, think critically, and see themselves as capable problem solvers. I want my students to leave my classroom curious, informed, and understood.
